I have been on the hunt for a filter to protect the lens of my 8 which would still allow me to use the autolens cap. Most filters are too tall/thick, and the cap will not close completely as a result. I was so thrilled to see that NiSi, a company I have used in the past, had made one. The filter works like a dream. Its slim profile allows me to use the auto lens cap with absolutely no issues. And of course, the filter itself is the absolutely smashing quality of all NiSi products.

Having previously purchased excellent filters from NiSi, and lamenting the ability to locate a UV filter that would work with the auto lens cap for the D-Lux 8 (all of them that I tried were too thick, and made the cap impossible to close), I was thrilled to see that NiSi had made one. The filter is phenomenal quality, as all of their filters are, and it works perfectly with the auto lens cap.
