Before you choose

Choose your kit

Clear glass, the whole front end, or the look.

The first two start with the same NC UV Filter II and its 49mm front thread, and Lens Hood Kit III adds the locking square hood and the magnetic metal cap. The other two put the look on the camera instead of clear glass. All four go on in place of the factory trim ring, and all four are made in silver and in black to match.

NC UV Filter II with 49mm Front Thread

One machined part that threads straight onto the camera where the decorative trim ring was. It protects the fixed lens, clears atmospheric haze, and puts a standard 49mm thread on the front of a compact camera that never had one.

What it gives you

  • A 49mm front thread for any standard filter
  • Double-sided nano coating, 99.3% light transmission
  • Oil and water resistant outer surface
  • Clearance for the lens barrel to extend
  • Works with the original Fujifilm lens cap

Fits the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI.

Lens Hood Kit III

The same NC UV filter and 49mm thread, plus a square metal hood held by a new patented locking mechanism and a machined metal lens cap that holds itself on magnetically. The classic rangefinder profile, in matched metal.

In the kit

  • NC UV filter with a 49mm front thread
  • Square metal lens hood, locking
  • Magnetic metal lens cap
  • Clearance for the lens barrel to extend
  • Original Fujifilm cap fits with the hood off

Fits the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI.

Black Mist 1/4

The cinematic look, with no clear glass in front of it. It lowers contrast and diffuses the highlights, so light sources keep a strong centre and bloom softly at the edge, and it goes on in place of the trim ring exactly as the NC UV filter does.

What it gives you

  • Lower contrast, highlights and shadows balanced
  • A film-like bloom around any direct light source
  • Softer wrinkles and blemishes on skin
  • Threads on in place of the factory trim ring
  • No separate filter adapter needed

Fits the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI.

The NiSi Allure Soft White for the Fujifilm X100 series in a silver frame, a tapered ring engraved FOR FUJI X100 SERIES and ALLURE SOFTSilver or black

Allure Soft White

The softer, brighter glow. It diffuses the strong light entering the lens with fine particles and spreads it evenly, so the picture turns soft and ethereal while keeping its clarity and detail. It mounts the same way, in place of the trim ring.

What it gives you

  • A diffused glow from strong light
  • Little loss of clarity or detail
  • Softer skin, blemishes covered, for portraits
  • Threads on in place of the factory trim ring
  • No separate filter adapter needed

Fits the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI.

Still deciding? The filter on its own is the smallest way to protect the lens and open up the 49mm thread, and the kit is the one to pick if you want the square hood and a cap that never needs lining up: on those two the glass and the coatings are identical. Black Mist and Allure Soft White are the ones to pick if you want the diffusion built into the camera rather than screwed in front of it. Ask our team.

How it fits

Three turns, then shoot.

No adapter tube and no step ring. The filter goes exactly where the decorative trim ring was, and the finished result sits almost flush with the lens barrel.

Take the trim ring off

The decorative ring around the front of the X100 lens unscrews by hand. Put it somewhere safe. Nothing else on the camera changes.

Thread the filter on

The NC UV Filter II threads straight into its place. It is a single machined unit, so there is no adapter to fit first and nothing extra to lose.

Add a filter, or lock the hood

Screw any standard 49mm filter onto the front, or clamp the square hood on with the locking mechanism and drop the magnetic cap over it.

Why NiSi

The X100 lens cannot be replaced.

It is fixed, so damage to the front element is not something you solve by swapping in another piece of glass. Everything here starts from that.

Straight onto the camera

Many protective solutions for the X100 want an adapter ring first, which adds length, cost and one more part to misplace. This one is a single machined unit that takes the place of the factory trim ring, so fitting it takes seconds and the camera keeps its pocketable shape.

Any 49mm filter screws on

The headline change in this version is the 49mm thread cut into the front of the frame. A circular polarizer, a neutral density, a black mist or a close-up lens now joins the stack with no step rings and no extra bulk hanging off the front.

Coated on both faces

A multi-layer low-reflection nano coating on both glass surfaces passes 99.3% of incoming light. Reflections that would otherwise bounce between filter and lens are held down, so shooting into street lights or a low sun stays clean and color rendition stays neutral.

Your Fujifilm cap still fits

The lens cap that came with the camera seats directly on the filter, so there is no substitute to carry and nothing in your existing kit is left redundant. With Lens Hood Kit III, take the hood off and the original cap goes on as before.

Room for the barrel to extend

The X100 lens barrel moves forward as it focuses close, and a filter that sits too deep will stop it short. Both kits are built with dedicated internal clearance for that movement, so you keep the camera's full close-focusing range.

Rain beads. Fingerprints wipe.

The outer surface carries a hydrophobic and oleophobic layer, so water rolls away instead of drying into spots, and fingerprints, sunscreen and sea spray lift off with one pass of a microfiber cloth. It matters most on the days you are actually out shooting.

The hood locks, it does not push on

Rather than a felt-lined friction fit, the square metal hood engages a patented locking mechanism on the filter and clamps solid. It will not rotate out of square, creep loose in a bag, or shift when you lift the camera by its strap.

A cap that snaps on

The machined metal cap holds itself to the front of the kit magnetically. There is no clip to line up and no friction fit to work loose, so it comes off in one motion when a picture appears and goes back the same way when you are done.

Questions

Before you buy.

Which Fujifilm cameras does this fit?

The X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI. Every X100 body shares the same fixed 23mm f/2 lens, and both kits are machined to match it.

Do I need an adapter ring?

No. The NC UV Filter II is a single machined part that threads directly onto the camera in place of the factory trim ring. The same is true of the Black Mist 1/4 and the Allure Soft White made for the X100 series: each replaces the trim ring and goes straight on. There is no adapter tube to buy, fit or misplace, and fewer parts means fewer surfaces for dust to settle between.

What can I screw onto the 49mm thread?

Any standard 49mm filter: a circular polarizer, a neutral density, a black mist or a close-up lens. It threads onto the front of the filter, so the protection stays in place and nothing has to come off the camera first.

Will the original Fujifilm lens cap still fit?

Yes. The cap that came with the camera seats directly on the filter. With Lens Hood Kit III, take the hood off and the original cap fits as before.

Can I still focus close with the filter fitted?

Yes. The X100 lens barrel extends as it focuses close, and both kits are built with dedicated internal clearance for that movement, so you keep the camera's full close-focusing range with the filter and the hood on.

How does the square hood attach?

Lens Hood Kit III uses a patented locking mechanism that clamps the metal hood to the filter, rather than a felt-lined friction fit. It will not rotate out of square or creep loose in a bag.

Should I choose silver or black?

Both products are made in both finishes, anodized or machined to sit against the silver or the black X100 body. The glass and the coatings are identical, so it is purely a question of which camera you own.

How do I clean the glass?

The outer surface is hydrophobic and oleophobic, so rain beads and rolls off rather than drying into spots, and fingerprints and grease sit on the surface instead of soaking in. One pass with a microfiber cloth returns it to clean.
